How we work

Clear scope. Clear communication.

We establish what is actually required, explain any constraints or remedial needs before starting and issue the certification appropriate to the electrical work carried out.

Where existing installation conditions affect the proposed work, we explain those issues before proceeding rather than treating additional work as an assumption.

Questions & answers

Fault Finding: common questions

What electrical faults can you investigate?

We investigate faults including circuits repeatedly tripping, RCD and RCBO problems, loss of power, continuity faults, insulation resistance problems and defective electrical accessories.

Can you find intermittent electrical faults?

Intermittent faults can often be investigated through systematic testing, although faults that are not present during the visit may require further investigation or monitoring.

Why does my RCD or RCBO keep tripping?

Repeated tripping can have several causes including an appliance fault, circuit fault, insulation problem, moisture, damaged wiring or defective protective equipment. Testing is required to establish the cause.

Do you repair the fault during the same visit?

Where the fault can be identified and an appropriate repair can reasonably be completed during the visit, this may be possible. More extensive faults may require separate remedial work.
