What we collect
When you submit an enquiry through this website we collect:
- Your name, email address and, if you provide it, telephone number
- The property postcode and details of the work you are enquiring about
- Any photographs or documents you choose to attach
- Your preferences for customer type, timing and contact method
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies on this site, and we do not build a profile of your browsing.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quotation — lawful basis: legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To carry out, certify and record electrical work — lawful basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation where certification must be registered or retained.
- To keep records for insurance, warranty and regulatory purposes — lawful basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
We do not use your details for marketing, we do not sell them, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
We use third-party providers to operate this website and deliver enquiry emails to us. These providers process data on our instructions only. We may also share information with our accreditation body where a certificate must be registered, and with our insurers or professional advisers where necessary.
We do not share your details with other contractors or lead-generation companies.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Records relating to work carried out: at least 6 years, to meet contractual, insurance, tax and electrical certification record-keeping requirements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your data, where we have no continuing obligation to keep it
- Object to or ask us to restrict how we use your data
- Request your data in a portable format

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
